Valcour Kayak Center

Located on a white sand beach at Valcour Educational and Conference Center, The Valcour Kayak Center (VKC) is SUNY Plattsburgh's base of operations for its kayak program, which includes classes and events. 

VKC operates under the auspices of Expeditionary Studies.  VKC offers guided trips, and paddling instruction, in addition to credit-bearing classes for students at SUNY Plattsburgh. A limited number of memberships for students, faculty, and staff are available at VKC, granting boat storage and property access privileges.

The summer highlight for VKC is the annual Lake Champlain Sea Kayak Institute.
