Our goal is to ensure that you make the best textbook purchase possible, giving you the tools necessary for a successful school year. In addittion to price, you should consider a number of factors before makin g your final textbook purchases. Here are a few tips to help you along your textbook purchasing journey:
TIP #1 Is the textbook being sold online the same edition that is being used in class? It is possible (and actually has been documented) that some textbooks being sold online are old editions. Be sure to check the ISBN number provided on our textbook ordering page. Having the appropriate edition of a textbook is much more important than a trade book for obvious reasons.
TIP #2 Will the book be available in time to be useful in class? Often online booksellers will ship the book anywhere from three to six weeks from the date of the order. Make sure the timing of delivery is acceptable for your classes.
TIP #3 Will the shipping and handling fees and any other costs equal the cost of the book in the College Store? If so, why not purchase at the College Store and buy local.
Did you know that any purchase you make at the College Store goes right back into campus services and programs operated and managed by College Auxiliary Services? That's right - buying locally, on campus, benefits the campus community!
