We're offering three week-long classes over two weeks for youth ages 10-14+. All classes are taught by Minecraft wizard and graphics arts instructor Dean Delano.
Monday-Friday, July 9-13, 2018
9:00am-3:00pm | Minecraft: The Evolution of Steve
In this all day workshop, we will explore the progress of mankind from the stone age to the stars. We will learn what it takes to meet our basic needs, how humans settled and worked with their environment, and the benefits of working together for a common cause. Each day we will advance our civilization and meet challenges that support the future growth and progress of our world.

Monday-Friday, July 16-20, 2018
9:00am-12:00pm | Minecraft Skinning and Textures
We will use Photoshop to learn about the basics of computer game graphics and design our own to bring into Minecraft. We will learn the basics of raster images, file formats, and texture wrapping as they pertain to game design.
12:30-3:30pm | 3-D Animation and Video Editing with Minecraft
We will explore your favorite Minecraft characters and using the game elements, create our own story and video using 3D modeling and animation. Build your scene, write your storyboard, and customize your characters in this half day workshop using Mine-imator.
All classes will be in Yokum Hall, Room 100 on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus.
Details and a campus map will be sent out prior to the first class.
This year, we won't be offering the Summer Safari program as we have in the past.
We are working with the Strand Center for the Arts in downtown Plattsburgh, and they will be hosting a wonderful range of arts classes for all ages throughout the summer.
Some of our Summer Safari instructors are already teaching there!

At SUNY Plattsburgh, we will be offering technology classes in Minecraft exploration and digital design with instructor Dean Delano the last three weeks of July.
